Recover your account

Forgot your master password? Use your recovery kit — here are your options.

If you have your recovery kit

  1. Choose “Forgot password?” on the sign-in page and follow the link sent to your email.
  2. Enter the recovery key from your kit (it starts with KVRK-).
  3. Choose a new master password. Your vault is kept intact, and you’ll be asked to create a new recovery kit.

If you don’t have your recovery kit

Because your vault is encrypted with keys only you hold, nobody — including KeyValt — can decrypt it. You can reset your account to start over; this permanently deletes your encrypted vault, but keeps your account, plan and billing.
