Terms of service

The terms that govern your use of KeyValt.

Last updated: 4 October 2026

1. The service

KeyValt provides a dashboard, an encrypted vault and a browser extension that helps you open websites (“portals”) and fill credentials you have saved. KeyValt is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting on behalf of any government department, bank or portal operator.

2. Your account and master password

  • You are responsible for keeping your master password and recovery kit safe. Because your vault is encrypted on your device, we cannot recover your vault if you lose both.
  • You must provide accurate information and be legally able to enter into this agreement.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account and for the people you share access with.

3. Acceptable use

You must only store and use credentials you are authorised to use, and you must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. KeyValt does not bypass CAPTCHAs, OTPs or other security controls and must not be used to do so.

4. Business use and client credentials

If you store credentials on behalf of clients (for example as an accountant or service operator), you confirm that you have their authorisation and that you will remove access when it is no longer needed.

5. Plans, billing and cancellation

  • Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel from Billing at any time; your plan remains active until the end of the paid period.
  • If a payment fails, we may limit paid features after a grace period. We never delete your vault because of a billing issue; you will keep read and fill access to your existing items.
  • Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice. Refunds are handled per applicable law and our refund guidelines.

6. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep KeyValt available, but third-party portals change frequently, and autofill for a particular site may stop working until its configuration is updated. We may update features over time and will notify you of material changes to these terms.

7. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, KeyValt is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for actions taken on third-party portals using credentials you store. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or put other users at risk, and will tell you why unless legally prevented.
